We are excited to invite you to the May NHWHE Insight Circle focused on communication, voice, and authenticity in the workplace. Our conversation this month is inspired by Permission to Speak by Samara Bay.

In this session, we will explore how women are socialized to communicate and how those expectations show up in professional settings. Together, we’ll examine the concept of “voice” beyond tone - considering how confidence, credibility, and presence shape how we are heard and understood. We’ll also discuss the challenges of navigating feedback on communication, including being labeled “too much” or “too quiet,” and how bias can influence how messages are received versus how they are delivered.

Through guided conversation, we’ll reflect on ways to reclaim authenticity in how we show up and speak, and share strategies for communicating with clarity and confidence while staying true to ourselves.
