This session explores how implicit bias and impostor syndrome intersect. Inspired by the way impostor syndrome has shaped the experiences of women in leadership, this conversation looks at the subtle cues that influence confidence, success, and belonging. The introspective presentation offers practical strategies to recognize internal barriers, reframe self-doubt, and move forward with clarity and confidence. The goal is to walk away with insights, tools, a different perspective, and be a part of a space for meaningful discussion and connection.
Stephanie Caban
Stephanie Caban is the Program Director for Undergraduate Business Programs and Senior Online Faculty at the University of New Hampshire College of Professional Studies Online. With over 15 years of experience in higher education, Stephanie has held leadership roles across both public and private institutions, including Program Chair, Chief Diversity Officer, and Chief of Staff. Her areas of expertise include strategic academic planning, accreditation, and student success. She is recognized as a change agent who drives inclusive practices, institutional improvement, and forward-thinking academic initiatives.
An award-winning DEI practitioner, Stephanie was honored with the Inspiring Programs in Business award by Insight Into Diversity for her leadership in inclusive strategic initiatives. As a proud first-generation college graduate, she is passionate about advancing equity in education and creating opportunities for all learners to thrive. Stephanie is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), building on an MBA in Leadership from Post University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
Outside of work Stephanie volunteers with The United Way where she also serves on the Board of Directors. She also enjoys spending time at the beach, exploring new restaurants with her foodie husband, traveling, and rooting for the Steelers and Yankees.
