Board of Directors – Open Positions

  • Communications Co-Chair –Website (2-year commitment)

    As one of three Communications Co-Chairs, this role is responsible for managing and maintaining the NHWHE website to ensure it remains up to date, user-friendly, and aligned with the organization’s mission. The position works closely with the Social Media and Email Communication Co-Chairs to support cohesive messaging and engagement across all platforms. Responsibilities include regularly updating the website with event details, announcements, and relevant resources, while ensuring the design is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and consistent with NHWHE’s branding. The role also involves troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining compliance with accessibility standards, and reviewing website analytics to identify opportunities for improved user experience and increased engagement.

  • Member-at-large (2-year commitment)

    Three open positions: Members-at-large contribute to the organization by actively serving on at least one committee, such as conference planning, programming, communications, or fundraising. They support the work of the Board in advancing the goals outlined in the strategic plan and are expected to participate regularly in NHWHE programs and events. Additionally, they share responsibility for the development and review of organizational policies and bylaws as needed.

Committee – Open Positions

  • Conference Committee (1-year commitment)

    Conference committee members play a crucial role in the execution of the NHWHE annual conference. Responsibilities may include calling for speakers, reviewing submitted presentations, assisting in the development of the program, on-site coordination of sessions, and supporting logistical arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful event.

  • Programming Committee (1-year commitment)

    Programming Committee members are responsible for shaping the NHWHE monthly programming including “Time Out Tuesdays” and “Book Club” topic selections and event execution. They may be asked to participate in discussions to identify emerging trends and topics of interest to NHWHE members as well as support in coordination of speakers and logistics related to the programs.
