NHWHE Speaker Series - February

  • Virtual Event - Zoom (map)

We are excited to invite you to join the February edition of NHWHE’s Speaker Series, Reframing Feedback: An Appreciative Approach led by Jenny Masana!

We have complicated relationships with feedback; even in situations where it is expected, it can be hard to give or receive it! However, reframing feedback, using an appreciative approach, provides a framework that can improve the experience for everyone involved. Drawing on her experience and training as an academic advisor and adjunct faculty member, Jenny Masana shares how she blends the tenets of the appreciative advising model into pedagogy to create environments conducive to giving and receiving feedback, in and out of the classroom.

Jenny Masana is a Lean Black Belt who holds an MFA (SNHU 2009) and MS Project Management (UNH 2024). She currently works as a full-time academic advisor and program specialist at UNH-College of Professional Studies, where she is dedicated to improving the student experience through continuous process improvements. She has taught at UNH-College of Professional Studies (formerly Granite State College) as an adjunct since 2015. Jenny has also published two novels, one of which was the test case for her MS Project Management capstone. She and her family reside in the seacoast.

Please come ready to listen and engage in the way that feels best to you - all with a supportive community of women in higher education. We hope you’ll join us!
